Junkers JU-87 Stuka

The thing I have read that impressed me was the role this plane played as the marker bomber for The Barnes Wallace conceived dam buser and Tall Boy missions They set up markers at high risk to enable the destruction of dams by the bouncing bomb and U boat pens with the tall boy bomb . This was a huge advance on carpet bombing and allowed precision destructive attacks to do the maximum damage
